Collaborative Site-Specific Exhibition
Royal Canal
Dublin, Ireland
2021
Críoch, a collaborative installation with artist Aideen Farrell, was a site-specific temporal exploration of anticapitalist prefiguration through interactions with and interventions in an unloved and forgotten stretch of land off the Royal Canal in Dublin. The site is a ruin--a liminal space at the borderlands of multiple territories, the intersection of nature and the built world, industrial and domestic, the paradox of capitalism. A critique and a reimagining in the same act, through the creation of the unmonumental on this site of organised abandonment.
